Judge rules against Liberty gambling club

WARREN — A Trumbull County common pleas court judge has refused to grant protection to allow Club Infinity, a Liberty poker club, to operate without threat of criminal charges being filed against it.

The club’s attorney, Greg Rossi, says the owners of the club, Kevin Forestal of Liberty and C. J. McCormick of Girard, have not decided whether to reopen, but he’s advising them they should.

Rob Johnson, prosecutor in Girard Municipal Court, says if it does reopen under the conditions it operated under earlier this month, the club would face criminal charges.

Judge Peter Kontos of common pleas court issued a ruling this morning following a hearing.
