PITTSBURGH (AP) — Game commission officials say a Pittsburgh man didn’t violate any regulations when he shot and killed a coyote inside the city limits.
Joe Martinelli Jr. says he killed the eastern coyote late Sunday night outside his home in the Mount Washington neighborhood. He says coyotes have been harassing pets in the area.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Tom Fazi says with few exceptions the coyote hunting season never closes. And while Pittsburgh law prohibits hunting in city parks, it is permitted on private property.

That's what the ODNR told me as well. I heard some weird yapping at about 2:30am in the woods behind my house. It was loud enough that I recorded it and sent it the next day to the ODNR. They replied back that it was a pack of coyotes and in the same e-mail advised me that I am permitted by Ohio law to kill them.
They also advised not to let small children or pets play in the yard unsupervised.
Yeah.... I live on Mount Washington, right off Grandview Ave. I have this strange feeling it came from around the Sweetbriar Heights area.
