CANFIELD — Some students were jostled during a sudden stop by a school bus trying to avoid a collision this morning.
Schools Superintendent Dante Zambrini said a bus with a load of students was cut off at the intersection of Shields and Messerly roads by another driver. The bus driver, he said, hit the brakes to avoid a collision, jostling some of the students on the bus.
The bus driver pulled over to make sure the students were not injured, and a deputy sheriff, seeing the bus pulled over, stopped to assist, but no report was taken.
Zambrini said the school’s nurse attended to the students to make sure no one was injured. He also said parents will be notified about the event.

WOW!!!! Thank GOD for such important news. I smell a Pulitzer.
In other "news" (sic) I saw a car swerve today to avoid a squirrel. Squirrel left scene apparently uninjured. Driver returned to own lane after the near miss and kept going despite being jostled.
When I took the dog out today I almost fell over him.
I too had a near miss today- it'll make news tomorrow.........stay tuned!
Wow, I'd hate to be a Canfield school bus driver these days lol. The paparazzi is on the lookout for them!
NOW I KNOW WHY I DONT GET THE VINDY ! WOW ! IM GLAD I SAW IT HERE FIRST !
They'll probably have counselors available to help the students cope with this trauma.
Dont laugh man, it IS Canfield after all...poor Tippy wives kids!!!
I think that the bus driver did everything right and the press should back off after all it was not a accident!!! Its been a difficult year for the Canfield Bus Drivers and they dont get recognized for all the great things they do.
