John anniversary celebrated Aug. 29 at Struthers center

YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. David John, 304 E. Pasadena Ave., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29 during a gathering at Clingan Crossing Recreational Center in Struthers.

Hosts for the event were their children, Tammie Sybelnik of Jacksonville, Fla., and David John Jr. of Youngstown.

The former Janice Dempsey and Mr. John were united in marriage Aug. 31, 1959, in Youngstown.

They are members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Mr. John is a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Schwebel’s Bakery, where he was employed as a truck mechanic.
