ESPN is reporting that middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik's promoter, Top Rank, and challenger Paul Williams' promoter, Dan Goossen, have scheduled a Sept. 29 news conference at the Timex Performance Center, the New York Giants practice facility in the Meadowlands, to formally announce the Dec. 5 bout in Atlantic City.

Watch Friday's Vindicator and Vindy.com for details.

Kelly & Paul who? Hope the casino's order enough beer this time since as advertised on a local sports talk station they claim the people from Youngstown came for the fight, took the prize money & drank all the beer. Another shining moment for us. Fellas, will you & Brett Favre hurry up and go away.

Open letter to "Yonko." You are unabashed in your criticism of Kelly Pavlik. I live in Pittsburgh, so I don't know the day in day out activities of Mr. Pavlik, but I do recognize a coward when I see one. You are a coward who lurks in the shadows of the anonymity of the internet and makes malicious comments without the usual social repercussion

Post your name from now on coward. You are a coward. Posting malicious statements about an individual, yet not man enough to post your own name.

Youngstown Vindicator force cowards like "Yonko" back into his den, and require posters to sign their names to their post.

If you are not a coward, then state your name.

Hrusvosky, it's Claypool. Jason Claypool. Second, please reference one malicious statement made. Perhaps you should turn on 1240am in the Y-town market and listen to the boxing showing which airs on Wednesday and listen to Mike C. Sr. & Jr. They are part of Team Pavlik, this is where information comes from. Also, feel free to make the trip north and visit the Civics, Draught House, The Oaks, and if you need more I will give them to you. I have no issue w/someone/anyone enjoying themselves, it's their life, do what you want. Kelly has not asked one thing of the City or any fans, therefore he owes nothing to anyone except himself and his family. Therefore, either fight or go away.
