NILES — A city man was released on bond following his arrest on charges of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he allegedly tried to hit a police officer outside of a wedding reception at McMenamy’s, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road.
Mark A. Symcheck, 23, of Neil Street, pleaded innocent Monday in Niles Municipal Court to the misdemeanor resisting arrest and disorderly conduct charges.
No plea was offered on the assault charge, which is a fourth-degree felony punishable by up to 18 months in prison.
The officer reported that he injured his right elbow during the scuffle, though he had not sought medical help for it as of Saturday night.
Symcheck returns to court at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 9.

Take me drunk, I'm home!
I can almost guarantee this dude removed his shirt at some point leading up to, during or after the altercation. Well done, sir.
lol!
Should of been tasered, but they only taser females
Apparently he was PO'd that he'd missed the "If anyone has any objections to this wedding speak now or forever hold your peace..." LOL!
What an idiot.
What a jerk! I bet no one else invites him to their wedding.
