Browns fall in Denver

Published: Sun, September 20, 2009 @ 7:20 p.m.

DENVER (AP) — The Denver Broncos didn’t need a miracle finish to beat the Cleveland Browns — just a strong defense that has gone from deplorable to dominant.

Pass-rusher Elvis Dumervil tied a franchise record with four sacks and linebacker Andra Davis had 10 tackles against his old team in leading Denver to a 27-6 win.

The Broncos, who beat Cincinnati last week on Brandon Stokley’s 87-yard touchdown catch with 11 seconds left, are 2-0 under new coach Josh McDaniels, who worked with Browns coach Eric Mangini in New England.

Mangini’s new team is 0-2.

Story appears in Monday’s edition.

The Clowns and their perfect record is still intact. All I want to do is go to a Clowns game so I can people watch and sit their and laugh at their fans. Morons. They do the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome. Let's see, we'll change the quarterback AGAIN this year, we'll change head coaches every three years. You Clown fans have to be gluttons for punishment. "Get 'em next year."

You should go to the next Browns home game. I'm sure you can get a ticket. Make sure to tell everyone sitting by you and everyone in the tailgate lots exactly how you feel.

Brady Quinn is not a pro quarterback.

This is a rebuilding year and QB discovery time. Wait till next year, or the year after that, or the year after that, etc all.........

The running defense is the worst in the NFL this morning and the running offense doesn't exist. So sad for those of us who remember the glory years of Paul Brown and championships.

If they paid me $200 and gave me a free parking pass, I would consider going up to Chokeland to watch their pathetic excuse of a football team for three and a half hours on a Sunday afternoon.
