Scrappers fall 3-0 to Staten Island in Game 1

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Mahoning Valley Scrappers fell to the Staten Island Yankees, 3-0, in Game 1 of the New York-Penn League championship series on Monday night.

Scrappers starter Brett Brach went the first four innings and gave up two runs on five hits while walking one and striking out three.

Game 2 of the series is tonight at Eastwood Field.
