YOUNGSTOWN — A 10-year-old boy has been rushed to the hospital and a city man into police custody after an early morning pit bull attack at a bus stop on the city’s South Side.
Toris Gonner, 10, of South Heights Avenue was rushed to the hospital just after 8:30 a.m. with a dog bite to his lower leg. The boy’s grandfather Ronell Waller said he is unsure of the child’s condition, but said the injuries are not life threatening.
Police have taken Dustin Anglin, 22, also of South Heights Avenue into custody. Anglin is believed to be the owner of the dog.

The owner of the dog pays all medical and psychological expenses for the victim and all extra expenses incurred by the family. The dog gets destroyed. The owner gets 30 days in jail for negligience toward another human being. The laws regarding this breed need to bemore strict such as only certified dog handlers are allowed to own a pit bull or any dog with over 50% pit bull bloodline. This breed is a one owner dog and statistics have proven over and over again that this is an unpredictable domestic dog.
