EAST LIBERTY, Ohio (AP) — The Honda Motor Co. says a plant in western Ohio will be the production site for the automaker’s new crossover utility vehicle.
Honda of America President Hidenobu Iwata said today the Honda Accord Crosstour will be built at the East Liberty plant that now produces the CR-V and the Element.
The Crosstour is a tallish, five-passenger wagon-like SUV based on a mid-size sedan. It goes into production this fall. Honda officials would not say how many will be manufactured.
Production is not expected to result in any new jobs at the plant that employs about 2,400.
The engines will be supplied by Honda’s engine plant near Anna and the transmissions from the automaker’s plant near Russells Point.

Hate4theworld, Yeah and that would be why Toyota and Honda are consistently ranked as the highest quality brands. I'm sorry that Honda doesn't have a brand like Buick that caters to geriatric patients as you would hope for.
Of course if you didn't hate you would probably be glad that Honda continues to be an anchor of the Ohio economy and continues to invest in their operations here.
I thought by now you would have gotten over your hate from WW2.
You dumb sh*t bigoted moron. I am always amazed how you are able to sound more ignorant with every post you make.
I, and many others, could write pages and pages on how stupid your comment is.
I've always found that no one discriminates or is racist as much as libs. I am so proud not to be anything like you.
Searth4aclue,
Your prayers have been answered, OMG,OMG, you and your life partner can spoon into you civic and travel south for the big parade in Marysville. Finally, an article about a OMG, OMG, a honda product. It's OK, everybody understands that you are a honda salePERSON, and you feel obligated to get all emotional about your product. But, JEEZ, give it a break. Your posts are STILL ignored and your opinions are regarded as trite and biased, no matter what the subect. Pathetic, actually. As far as your comment about Buick drivers being senior citizens, I disagree wholeheartedly. I observe WAY more seniors and alternative type folks driving your employers brand than Buicks. What I have observed is a lot more upper scale people driving Enclaves around Y-Town than effeminate males driving broken down civics. OR, worse yet, how about all of the dorks driving 120hp civics with ground effects and neon with their bfriends in tow. I always get a kick out of the lawn mower engine dudes. Sorry, maybe that was you....
You are correct that I am biased against GM and Chrysler as I hold nothing back to comment on the failed car companies, however that doesn't make me a Honda salesperson. I have said plenty of good things about other makes, particularly Ford.
I was personally shocked GM kept Buick over Pontiac, which I felt was a stronger brand (in sales). I would also say Honda is also very weak with the marketing of their Acura brand (more sporty than luxury)
Also I have no idea what you mean about alternative folks... I'm not typically in youngstown but most people in Central Ohio drive hondas well... foreign cars in general. You would be hardpressed to find a new GM vehicle in Columbus.
