ASHTABULA, Ohio (AP) — Members of the Hispanic community are complaining that police in Ohio’s northeast corner are targeting them on behalf of federal immigration agents.
A Hispanic advocacy group had a news conference Wednesday in Ashtabula calling for fair treatment by law-enforcement officers. The group claims police in the area about 50 miles northeast of Cleveland are making unwarranted traffic stops and raiding homes in the middle of the night.
The sheriffs of Ashtabula and Lake counties say deputies don’t stop people without cause.
Lake County Sheriff Dan Dunlap says targeting immigrants would be useless because they would return six weeks after getting deported.

The illegals are complaining about the police targeting illegals? This is the mentality of these people. If they come in LEGALLY, there is NO problem. There is NOTHING for them to complain about and the people who aid them should be charged, including the government who provides assistance to them before they get caught. What a system !!
I really love Sheriff Dan Dunlap's attitude. That's like saying that there is no point in enforcing the DUI (OWI) laws because first-time offenders will be out of jail in 3 days.
CCADTI, I completely agree with your comments.
We must take our Country back from the vast majority of our corrupt, self-serving politicians in both political parties, who are the real problem. The problem with the arrogant Hispanics, many who are here illegally, is a spin off from the real problem involving those self serving politicians, who look the other way when the illegals cross our boarders, because those politicians want the votes the illegals are guaranteed to give them!!
jessiedavid.....Illegals make up about 3% of Americas population. You think that politicians want them in America for the their vote? I don't don't believe they are allowed to vote since they can't prove citizenship. I think maybe you are reading too many of ProMerkin's posts and it's damaged your brain.
