Former ambulance company owners appear in court

YOUNGSTOWN — A mother and son who once ran an area ambulance company are free on a combined $20,000 bond after appearing for arraignment on felony charges in common pleas court.

Richard M. Pellin Jr., 36, of Diamond, has been indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on nine counts of forgery, eight counts of theft and one count of aggravated theft.

His mother Vanessa Pellin, 54, of Ellsworth, also has been indicted, on one count of aggravated theft.
