YOUNGSTOWN — A cheerleader at East High School collapsed during an after-school practice this afternoon and later died at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
School officials said the 16-year-old junior was just in the warm-up stages of practice when she passed out. They didn’t know if she had been ill prior to practice. Her name wasn’t immediately available.
Officials said the district’s emergency response team has been activated and will be at East High School tomorrow to deal with student concerns.

Cousin you will be missed, even though you have left us here to mourn I know you are at peace and with our Maker. Your death will be hard for some family members to deal with, but you are now one of our guardian angels. I Love & Appreciate You! May the Lord give your parents the strength to go on and celebrate your memory.
