WARREN — Police on Monday seized marijuana at a Harvard Drive apartment and made drug trafficking arrests.
Investigators with the Trumbull-Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force were assisted by Howland, Niles and Girard police departments in conducting a search at 1052 Harvard Drive.
The task force seized 54 pounds of marijuana valued at more than $100,000. Also seized was drug paraphernalia, digital scales, cell phones, packaging materials, misc. shipping receipts, a flat screen television and $1,550 in U.S. currency.
The search followed a one month investigation into the trafficking of marijuana throughout Trumbull County.
Those arrested are Jonathan Putnam, 31; Candace Ware, 24, and Jason Putnam, age unknown. Each will be arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of felony drug trafficking and possession of marijuana.
Investigators will also be filing charges at a later date on a male and female who were also found at the apartment during the investigation.
The TAG Law Enforcement Task Force is a multi-county major crimes unit that focuses investigations on drug traffickers, firearm traffickers, gangs and homeland security.

So fifty four pounds of pot is worth $100,000 ? It looks like it is very expensive to be a pothead .
That works out to $115 per ounce. That seems pretty cheap to me, compared to what I had to pay for an oz of good weed two decades ago. The $100,000 figure is probably the wholesale value. I'd assume it would go for at least $200 / oz when it is sold to the end users. I could be wrong.
Whatever happened to the $20 bag o weed? What have we become as a nation?
