LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — A judge has set a date for the retrial of an Ohio man charged in the bathtub drowning of his wife.

A judge had ordered earlier this year that Ryan Widmer receive a new trial because of juror misconduct.

He’s now set to go on trial March 15 next year in Lebanon, about halfway between Dayton and Cincinnati.

Widmer had been found guilty of murder in April in the drowning of 24-year-old Sarah Widmer.

But a judge in July granted him the new trial, citing misconduct by jurors who conducted their own bathroom experiments at home and shared the results during deliberations.

Widmer is now free on bond.
