State Route 518 closing for culvert work Tuesday

WEST POINT — State Route 518 will be closed Tuesday, weather permitting, west of West Point in Columbiana County for a culvert replacement.
The work will be performed by ODOT’s Columbiana County maintenance crew and is expected to take three days to complete.
Beginning at the intersection of state Route 518 and U.S. 30, traffic will be detoured west on U.S. 30 to state Route 164 in Lisbon, then south on state Route 164 back to state Route 518, and the reverse.

Well this work might need to be done,but why would you let the Stimulus project of Rt518 be done first then rip the road up to put a culvert pipe in ? Typical State of Ohio waste,waste, waste. I wonder if their going to put it where the ground is flat and the water will just lay there and go no where. That's their usual. Odot is hell for culvert pipes. I wonder if they ever heard of pitching the ditches to the culvert pipe. I know they haven't because the shapes of the burms !
