Kiwanis Club to deliver holiday food baskets

GIRARD — The Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County and the Kiwanis Club of Youngstown will deliver 75 Thanksgiving food baskets to area residents today. Members will ring bells for the Salvation Army on Dec. 12 at the Giant Eagle store in Canfield.

At a recent meeting Paula Carella, of the nonprofit Northeast Ohio Labrador Retriever Rescue, spoke of rescue efforts and of a winter food drive for dog food, treats, toys and blankets that is being conducted through Dec. 20.
