Knicks' Answer: No to Allen Iverson

Published: Fri, November 20, 2009 @ 1:10 p.m.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — The New York Knicks have decided not to pursue Allen Iverson.

Team president Donnie Walsh says the team has decided not to make any additions despite its 2-9 record. He added the decision to pass on the former MVP had nothing to do with Iverson.

Iverson was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and became a free agent Thursday night. Walsh said today he wasn’t interested because Iverson would take time away from the young players the Knicks are trying to develop.
