Mahoning commissioners appoint interim sanitary engineer

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County commissioners today appointed J. Robert Lyden, field engineer in the county sanitary engineer’s office since 2006, as the interim sanitary engineer, effective Nov. 30.

Lyden, 68, a state-licensed professional engineer and surveyor, will take over from Joseph V. Warino, sanitary engineer since 1997, who will retire Nov. 27 to take on the job as Canfield city manager.
