COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio Senate Republicans want to move forward with a portion of Gov. Ted Strickland’s proposed tax cut delay and fill in the rest of the state’s budget gap with other measures.
The details of the Senate plan were debated during a 10-hour meeting Tuesday. They are still being worked out but senators hopes to put it to a committee vote today.
Gov. Ted Strickland has proposed delaying the final 4.2 percent income tax cut in a five-year, 21 percent reduction to fill an $850 million budget gap.
Many Republicans have called Strickland’s proposal a tax hike, and want to minimize the increase.
Another source of revenue in discussion is $200 million worth of license fees that recently approved casinos are soon expected to pay.

They call it a "tax increase" because they're playing politics.
If they want to participate in the solution, they're going to have to do better than be the "party of NO".
Republicans are so disgustingly greedy, I consider them selfish vultures who want to sell this country down the river at any cost.
Whatever happened to loyalty to America?
