Mahoning Valley home sales a mixed bag for October

Home sales were a mixed bag in the Mahoning Valley last month.

Sales were up significantly in Mahoning County in October, down in Columbiana County and about the same in Trumbull County, according to figures released by the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors.

In Mahoning County, 200 home sale closings were recorded last month, compared with 164 in the same month of 2008.

In Trumbull County, 135 home sales closed in October, compared with 136 in the same month last year.

In Columbiana County, 51 homes were sold last month, compared with 67 in October 2008.
