CAMPBELL — Police arrested a man for running from them after a traffic stop.
Stacey R. Gray, 18, of Penhale Avenue was a passenger in a car driven by a juvenile, police said.
The car was stopped at Tremble Avenue and 12th Street at 9:45 p.m. Saturday after the driver failed to stop for a stop sign at Robinson Road and Murray Avenue, police said.
The driver and a juvenile passenger got out while police searched the car, the report said, but Gray appeared nervous. Police said he stuffed something under the rear seat.
He would not stand still for police, so they said they were going to handcuff him.
Gray ran and was tackled and pepper-sprayed, the report says.
Police recovered a loaded .22 caliber handgun from the car, they said.
Gray was in the city jail without bond until his arraignment Tuesday.
He is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. The juveniles were released.

Without that gun which was confiscated how is he going to protect himself from uncooperative donors ?
I hope the new mayor in Campbell is going to do something about the crime in Campbell instead of worrying about the brown fields for !0 years. It seems like they are in the paper just as much as Youngstown. I got an idea how about more police?
