CAMPBELL — Police arrested a man they said was seen Thursday with a gun near Campbell Memorial High School.
Police stopped Khiree Traylor, 18, in his car on Wilson Avenue near First Street at 2:50 p.m. Police said an officer approached Traylor’s car with his gun drawn and handcuffed him while he was still in the car.
A juvenile in the car with him was released to her guardians, police said. The gun was found in her purse. Traylor gave a written statement that he’d put it there, police said.
Police said today they were still taking statements and they did not have details on who spotted the gun or where Traylor was and what he was doing when they spotted it.
Traylor was arraigned this morning in Campbell Municipal Court. He is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, conveying a dangerous weapon near a school and inducing panic. He was released on $1,200 bond. His preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 20.

Lets keep getting these fools off the street.
Good Job Police.
Good job CPD
Khiree Traylor being released on $1,200 bond gives him a chance to acquire another gun and be able to protect himself when he solicits money from not so willing donors . Campbell Muny Court is truly looking out for those who earn an income by unconventional ways .
FIRST STREET IS NOT THAT CLOSE TO THE SCHOOL.
$ 1,200.00 bond is not NEARLY enough.
I agree. First street is not that close to the high school. However.....First St and Wilson Ave is where the TRAFFIC STOP took place AFTER the crime. Good job to CPD for identifying and arresting the suspect before he actually caused harm. And yes $1200 is too low of a bond.
CPD usually does a good job with all the crap they handle!
