WARREN — Police are investigating as a homicide the death of an unidentified man whose partially decomposed, fully clothed body was found by a hunter at 3:47 p.m. Saturday in the woods west of the dead-end of Hamilton Street Southwest.

Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, Trumbull County coroner, and city police detectives went to the scene, from which the body was taken to the morgue at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Sgt. Dan Mason said he did not know how long the man had been dead but added, “It’s probably been at least several days.”

Mason said he had no information concerning the dead man’s age or what, if any, wounds were on the body.
