YOUNGSTOWN — Police are looking for five men responsible for shooting a South Side man during a botched robbery attempt.

The 21-year-old Auburndale Avenue man told police he was walking in the 3000 block of Market Street just after 6 p.m. Wednesday when he was approached by five men. One of the men, wearing a dark coat and ski mask, asked him “What you got?”

The man said he tried to avoid the masked man, but the man grabbed him, pointed a small handgun at him and fired one shot. The man said he ran home and realized he had been shot in the abdomen. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center and listed in guarded condition late tonight.

Without contributing when he was solicited the pedestrian has caused the five a night without a high . They will try once again to seek funds and replenish their supply of crack cocaine . In many areas of Youngstown the subculture rules the streets . Failure to abide by their rules brings serious consequences .
