YOUNGSTOWN — O’Charley’s Pro/Am Bass Classic, a fund raiser for the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley United Way, is May 30 at Evans and Pine lakes. In conjunction with the bass tournament, a Kids Fish and Fun Event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Evans Lake, which includes fishing from shore and other activities. The day will end with a weigh-in at 2:15 p.m.

Pine Lake if off Market Street (state Route 7) in North Lima in the Pine Lake Reserve Development, which is about two miles from the intersection of Route 7 and state Route 164. Evans Lake is off South Avenue extension in Beaver Township.

For more information about the event, call Jack Wollitz, tournament chairman, at (330) 716-0731. The tournament is still recruiting amateur entrants, who can pair up with a professional angler for a $300 donation to United Way. For more information on becoming a amateur participant, call Tara Mady at United Way at (330) 746-8494.
