Third-grade students from Roosevelt Elementary School toured the historic McBride House in Hubbard on May 5 and 6. The tours were an educational experience for the curious pupils, who came armed with notebooks and clipboards.

Members of Hubbard Historical Society answered questions and guided the youngsters through the rooms, including the dining room, where a table was set as if for expected guests.

The public is invited to a meeting of the historical society at 7:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, where Elizabeth Clark of Warren will speak on Lou Henry Hoover, wife of President Hoover.
