MILFORD, Ohio (AP) — Police say a student has been removed from a junior high school outside Cincinnati after an officer received a report that the boy had a list of classmates he planned to kill.
Police Chief Steven Bailey of Miami Township says parents of the five Milford Junior High School classmates on the “hit list” have been notified, and the boy has been charged with aggravated menacing.
Bailey says the unidentified boy has been taken to a hospital because he had talked about harming himself.
Last week, officials at a private elementary school in Hamilton, northwest of Cincinnati, expelled a third-grader accused of making a hit list that included students and a teacher.

its clear to see that this child may have had problems with bullies. blame the teachers and other school staff for letting this go on. im sure they all see it and hear of it going on but they all stand on the side lines watching it. the problem is, is that most of your bullies are the kids who are popular, rich, jocks and cheerleaders. and the teachers wont dare say a word to sweet little sue or mr cocky jock joe because of who their parents are or because of the status of asset that this bully is to the school.
Gmann you are right, seems to me that these schools have become a battlefield for social warfare. Some kids dread going to school because it is so miserable and I don't mean like the old days when you got picked on a bit. It is a seriously abusive environment.
like i said Rokscout, it all depends on the social status of the bully, if this bully is a good asset to the school or if the bullys parents are big people to the school then the teachers and staff say nothing. god forbid they lose their parents funding or the bullies ability to play football, basketball, or cheerleading.
it it an epidemic.....it's not about the social status nor the staus quo but it's about the parents who are either: not completely engulfed or involved in their children's social life, or their parents are to busy - 1 is brining home the bacon while the other brings in the bread. If it is a single parent - who is bringing in the bacon and the bread well we all know to well the results....the economy is 'proof' of how wreckless we choose to live and who is bearing the burden of the state of the economy? Some one's child(ren). Take a look at any paper across the country or the world for that matter and the children are in the forefront and it is not painting a pretty picture. Next, charter schools are infiltrating communities like flies on ****, it is easy for children to be mischievious and get away with it because the administrators on site either don't have experience in handling such incidents due to the (it would never happen to ME syndrome) overwhelming response to migrate to charter schools, if anything a situation occurs youalmost have to call Bombay or travel abroad to get help.
IT STILL TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD
We need to quite creating bullies and nuture those hostile little people from the inside out
A very narrow determination given all you base your opinion on is a 4 sentence passage. Not saying that you are wrong, just saying.
Gmann, When I read this story my thoughts were exactly what you wrote. This happens a lot more than what people think. Wonder if the targets will get the message? Probably not, it will just pump their egos and the egos of other bullies in the school. Maybe if he had been successful in neutralizing the five in question without any collateral damage it would of solved the bully problem in that school for a long time. But of course that would be terrible.....
