AUSTINTOWN — Police arrested a township man for an assault at the scene of a house fire.
Just after 5:30 a.m. Sunday, police were called to 4485 Viall Road, where township firefighters were attempting to put out a blaze inside the house.
Once on the scene, officers were told that Daniel Fizet, 47, had pushed a firefighter and continued to be uncooperative and attempt to regain entry to the residence.
A patrolman entered the home and found Fizet shirtless in the kitchen. When he ordered the suspect out so that firefighters could finish putting out the fire, Fizet began yelling profanities. He left the home, repeating, “This is my house. You can’t tell me what to do.”
Several minutes later Fizet said he was going back into the house to get his cigarettes, pushing an officer out of the way as he attempted to do so.
He was placed under arrest, but continued to struggle. He complied only after an officer drew his Taser, an electroshock weapon.

Well this certainly makes perfect sense.
His cigarettes were probably what started the fire to begin with.
People behavior is getting lawless, no courtesy, no respect, no common sense!
Just stpuid. guy could have died in a fie and he wants a smoke?
I know not everyone is a fan, but the TASER is the most effective non-lethal tool ever. We can only hope it is used with reasonable, common sense so the courts don't take it away from the cops.
Without it what do you got,a gun? We all know what that can lead to. guns can kill even if you only mean to bring a suspect down.
Maybe he had drugs in the house and was trying to get them out before they might be discovered by firefighters?
There was sometihng he did not want them to find.
