Marcos celebrate 50th anniversary at family event

YOUNGSTOWN — Jim and Fay Marco, 451 Brandon Ave., Struthers, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27 at our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with invited guests.

Hosts of the party were the couple’s children and their spouses: James and Paula Marco, Patrick and Lois Marco; and Michelle and Vince Malkovits, all of Boardman. The Marcos have four grandchildren: Jimmy and Alexa Marco, and Vincent and Michael Malkovits.

Mrs. Marco, who retired in 2002 as a secretary from Youngstown News Agency in Youngstown, works for Dr. Heather Petrolla.

Mr. Marco had worked for Loblaw’s, Valu King and Sparkle before retiring as a meat manager from Giant Eagle in 1999. He served with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas.

On June 20, 1959, Mr. Marco and the former Fay Traficant were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
