YOUNGSTOWN — A 70-year-old woman was pistol-whipped by one of two young male robbers and would-be kidnappers who confronted her as she arrived home from work at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
As she was exiting her car in her driveway in the 300 block of East Ravenwood Avenue, one of the men hit her on the head with a handgun and dragged her out of her car, she told police.
Both men asked her for her bank PIN number, and she said she didn’t have one. The robbers demanded that she open her trunk, then used her key to open it themselves and tried to place her in the trunk, the woman told police.
The woman screamed, and a neighbor exited a nearby residence, startling the robbers, who flung the victim against the side of her house before fleeing in the victim’s car, taking the victim’s keys and pager.
As they backed out of her driveway, the robbers tried to hit the victim with her car, the victim told police.
“Have a nice day ... ,” a robber yelled from the car, according to the victim and her neighbor.
The victim was treated for bleeding from her lip and a large knot on her right forehead, police said.

Paul Kersey where are you?
Gutless punks would run from a fight if they had no weapons and faced a person of their own stature.
Robbing an senior citizen using a weapon shows how weak and gutless theses people are.
After several days of partying on crack cocaine their resquest for cash was met with resistance from the victim. Since they weren't hurt the victim wont be charged.
To avoid situations such as this carry plenty of cash and be cooperative. After all this is Youngstown and the culture has certain needs to be met.
JAY HAS A PLAN !

Suggestion to Youngstown Municipal Courts:
When these wimps get caught and appear in front of you for sentencing may I suggest the following:
Send them via USAF C-130 to Pakistan and drop them both out at 10,000 feet clad with just pink women's Victoria's Secret Underwear and a Bow and Arrow strapped to their parachutes and let them both go hunt for Osama Bin Laden.
LostPatrol - why use parachutes?
I grew up on this very block have been gone for nearly 30 yr now. Could these thugs be the same ones who tried to snatch an old lady taking her trash out a few wks ago?. This kind of behavior would not have been tolerated when I was there. The thugs need to be caught & beaten beyond recognition. I may know the victim & I may not but no one deserves this. If it were my mother I would make it my lifes goal to find them & chain them to a tree & beat them with a tire iron. If I had to guess these thugs were in their teens or early 20's.
just drop them in there, they will run like little girls, screaming all the way
"Feeling lucky punk"?
I'm right with you jgm820! Make my Day!!!!!!!!!
Youngstown 2010! What a dump.
I'm not sure what breaks my heart more -a 70 year old woman returning from work at 11:45pm or what these two tough guys did to her. I know it's unlikely but maybe someone saw something, has a conscious and we'll all get to see these knuckleheads on the news someday.
WOW What is the best way to stop this kind of stuff . and who do we get to do it. Maybe some of the guys just out of the service , They could keep their skills up .
The 300 block of E. Ravenwood is a hardcore ghetto area. All of the area between Market, South, Indianola, and Midlothian is destroyed beyond repair. That entire area is full of: drug dealers, drug addicts, burglars, prostitutes, section 8 rental units, sex offenders, and thugs. If that entire area could be demolished and converted into an industrial park, it would be a huge benefit to the city; providing jobs and tax revenues. Right now, the primary beneficiaries of that neighborhood are slumlords such as Mark King, who owns many dumpy rental units in this area. Anyone with any sense of class or decency would have left this neighborhood long ago.
zero tolerance. yah-right
They finally caught the thugs Guess what her son is a cop.4 Youngstown
