NEW SPRINGFIELD — The Church of God was the setting at 2:30 p.m. May 16 as Melissa Rutana, 77 Foster Drive, New Middletown, and Eric Zitkovic, 59 Circleview Court, New Middletown, were united in marriage. The Rev. Mark Brungard officiated.

A reception at The Elm Tree in Struthers honored the daughter of Mike and Karen Rutana, 4359 E. Pine Lake Road, New Springfield, and John and Heidi Nemeth, of the Foster Drive address; and the son of Bob and Jane Zitkovic, 3285 E. Middletown Road.

The couple honeymooned during a Caribbean Cruise and live at the Circleview Court address.

The bride’s strapless satin gown featured pickups, a laced-up back and champagne accents.

Wearing fuchsia gowns were the honor attendant, Casey Kissel, and the bridesmaids, Marisa Zitkovic, Tiffany Dey, Nicole Galarneau, Tia Maldonado and Shala Maldonado. Flower girl was Mariah Jones.

Bobby Zitkovic served as best man, and groomsmen were Danny Zitkovic, Mike Rutana, Matt Gentile, Brant Griffith and Paul Finney. Ring bearer was Dante Gentile.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in psychology and is a case manager with D&E Counseling Center in Youngstown.

The groom earned a degree in business finance from YSU and is a manager with Chase Bank in Youngstown.
