7172 Warren Sharon Rd, Brookfield Township, OH

BROOKFIELD — Thirteen members and friends of the Brookfield Township Historical Society met at Papa Louie’s on May 20 for a spring banquet.

Emily Varner, from the Trumbull County Archives, gave her “trunk show.” She told the story of a trunk that started out with a family in Europe who sailed for the colonies. The trunk and special family items made their way to the Western Reserve, the Midwest, the gold fields and eventually with descendants of the original family back on the East Coast.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Brookfield Administration Building.
