Mahoning County firms to work on state park projects

Published: Mon, June 15, 2009 @ 3:05 p.m.

COLUMBUS — A state lawmaker panel has signed off on funding for improvements at Nelson Kennedy Ledges and Punderson State Park.

The Controlling Board, without comment, released $279,030 to build new restroom facilities at both parks, which are in Portage and Geauga counties. A new recreational vehicle sanitary sewage dump station will be added at Punderson State Park, as well.

Mister Excavator Inc. of Kirtland and B&J Electric of Poland Inc., located in North Lima, submitted the low bids for the work, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
