Not a healer but a bully

EDITOR:

The June 4 editorial concerning Dr. Tiller stated, “Abortion is legal in the United States; murder is not.” What on earth do you call abortion if not the murder of a human being? You also call abortion foes “cowards.” What would you call a doctor who would murder a defenseless baby?

As for your claim that Dr. Tiller provided health services to women, well, if that’s what he called health services, then I would rather go without. Those women will forever regret their decision and Dr. Tiller will have enriched himself at their expense. His family calls it “high quality health care.” What a joke. He played God and decided who would live and die. He was a bully.

"well, if that’s what he called health services, then I would rather go without."

Awesome, THEN GO WITHOUT.
Nobody is making you get abortions here lady.

"He played God and decided who would live and die. He was a bully."

And the guy who murdered Dr. Tiller did something you approved of then, hmm? He did the exact same thing you are so up in arms about. And it's not like the women who went to him didn't have a say in the matter...THEY made the decision, Dr. Tiller was just the means they chose to go through with it.

YOU think abortion is murder, the majority of the nation however(including the Supreme Court Justices) do NOT.

Once again, if you don't support abortion, DON'T GET ONE. Simple as that. If you really wanna fight your little war on choice, go over to Russia, they have insane amounts of abortions over there. Or how about China? They have a one-child rule with little exception; their gov't encourages abortion.
Preach to the people at your church who give a hoot. Maybe quit trying to convert the masses to your beliefs based on your religion.

I always find it to be a double standard that someone who kills a pregnant woman is guilty of two murders yet abortion is supposedly "not murder." The babies being aborted by this doctor were viable babies that would have lived outside the womb had they been "born" and not "killed." Nothing justifies the murder of this man, but approximately 60,000 babies died by the work of his hands.

The anti-abortion people are very aggressive in claiming that the killer was acting independently of them, yet they deny that their angry rhetoric had anything to do with motivating him.

Sounds like "love the sinner, hate the sin" that they practice so imperfectly. They love as putting people out of business, calling people murderers, denying people civil rights, and the like.

Isn't it ironic that the Pro-lifers think it is OK to kill the Pro-Choicers, but the Pro-Choicers don't kill Pro-Lifers??

It is very ironic. Dr. Tiller's supporter's mourn his death but not the deaths of 60,000 babies that he was responsible for. I feel sad for his family but just as sad for the 60,000 babies that died.

No you don't Stan. Your words are hollow as you dance on his grave with your comments. You politely tear down a man you never met who lived several states over because he went against your bronze age superstitions.

@ irish

"60,000 babies died by the work of his hands."

Rhetorically speaking, how many mothers were saved? Maybe that number would be higher if Dr. Tiller was never around in the first place. I'm not arguing that many viable lives weren't lost I'm just saying he's a doctor. He wasn't in it to soullessly pump out abortions for cash.

He's the one who was put in the unenviable position of directly dealing with the mother whose child will not survive outside of the womb or the woman who is pregnant by rape or incest. The answers are never black and white.

btw, kudos on all the recent gun rights posts. Good and accurate stuff.

The basic human rights start right in the womb when the basic human soul is alive and growing. The left wingers cant grasp that at one time they were there. Support life your mother did.
