YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County prosecutor’s office has recommended 30 days in jail and probation for four men accused of severely beating an Austintown man in Campbell nearly a year ago.
The four — Joseph R. Perry Sr., 62, of Tenney Avenue, Campbell, his son, Joseph Jr., 40, of Peters Drive, Campbell, Mark A. Ziemianski, 26, of South Navarre Street, Austintown, and James C. Riley III, 25, of Harold Lane in Campbell — all pleaded no contest and were found guilty of various charges today by Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of common pleas court.
Charges lodged against the men stemmed from the beating June 24, 2008, of Seth M. Leach, 33, of Ayrshire Drive, Struthers, in the Campbell home of Lori Perry.

Thirty days for a "severe beating" and 14 years for throwing bodily fluids at jail guards. I guess the Austintown guy that got beaten wasnt very important. Cripessake Paul!
The "stuffed" envelopes still get passed!
Are u kidding ??? 30 days for a severe beating ??? what the hell were the prosecutors thinking???? WHY ?????? there was enough evidence to put them all away for a long time. this is pathetic but then again it is mahoning county politics at work as usual. maybe some of these prosecutors should go back and read the laws and what the appropriate punishment is for such a crime and then tell the judge so he could get it right too. things will never change in mahoning county.
