PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A South Philadelphia mortgage broker is charged with trying to hire a hit man to kill an attorney and another person and maim a third individual.
Forty-year-old Mahn Huu Doan, also known as Bruce Doan, allegedly agreed to pay with cash and a residence.
The attorney allegedly had humiliated him in court.
Doan was arrested Friday, and the FBI searched his office. They said they discovered photographs of the lawyer’s home.
Prosecutors on Wednesday said the man Doan allegedly attempted to hire was a cooperating federal witness who secretly recorded several conversations with Doan.
Defense attorney William Brennan says Doan was just blowing off steam — that it was “the ranting and ravings of a guy who is just out of control.”

This is news? It is covered in the Vindicator? Don't we have enough murder and mayhem at home; why do we have to read about crazy people on the opposite side of PA?
Hey, take it easy on the Vindy ! In the subculture laden society of Youngstown this news raises the awareness level that it could happen here. Here the payoff would be a easy lady and a years supply of crack.
I guess it would only be news if he hired the guy from craigslist.
