YOUNGSTOWN — With only a week separating us from August, many in the Mahoning Valley are probably hoping for the onset of global warming.
Well, maybe not, but a few warm days would be nice. So far this July has been unseasonably cool.
There have been no days in which the temperature hit at least 90 degrees.
The highest temperature for the month is 86 degrees on July 16. It was 85 degrees on July 15. No other day this month has hit 85 degrees.
The average temperature for the Valley for the month so far is 65.9 degrees, 3.7 degrees lower than average, according to National Weather Service statistics.
If it doesn’t warm up, this would be the coldest July on record.

Thank God for Global Warming. Just think if we had not been breathing, driving cars, burning coal, and expelling all that carbon dioxide, the avarage temperature for July would be closer to 60.
Global Warming is Global BS!! The people pushing it should be brought up on fraud charges, or just being an idiot.

Ha! Fantastic.
Wonder how they will spin the "coldest July on record" into the global Chicken-Little-The-Sky-Is-Falling-Al-Gore-Is-Our-Savior routine.
They will ignore it, just like any other facts that are contrary to their agenda.
I'm super cereal guys, Man-Bear-Pig is real! I love South Park.
It's a good thing they told us this with 6 days left. I had no idea that 70 degrees every day equates to a cool summer month.
OMG ytown9999 too funny!!!!!! Are you cereal? Yeah....yeah dude I'm cereal. For real though I wish it was warmer. I miss going out to the lake!!
