Canfield businessman arrested on child porn and drug charges
TweetCANFIELD — Police arrested a Beaver Township man after a six-month investigation uncovered a counterfeit money operation and child pornography offenses.
Trent Rapp, 42, of 12481 Market St., was taken into custody by Canfield Police just after 3 p.m. today at Dairy Queen on South Broad Street. The arrest and the 16 charges brought against Rapp were the result of an investigation that began Jan. 16 after a resource officer
at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center confiscated counterfeit currency from a student.
Rapp was charged with one count of marijuana trafficking, one count of cocaine possession, one count of corruption of a minor with drugs, one count of possession of criminal tools, eight counts of child pornography and four counts of pandering sexually oriented material.
Though Rapp, who owns the Dairy Queen, was arrested at the business, police said all of the crimes occurred at his home.

Only difference between criminals in canfield and criminals in Y-town are better accountants and lawyers.
Wake up! I know a handful of successful businessmen, prominent in the Canfield/Boardman area that could be locked up tomorrow! They steal just like the y-town thugs, but they are called smart businessmen instead of criminals. Brings me back to better lawyers and accountants!!
The Canfield cops got bored, had to arrest someone that day, so it was this guy. I have heard people saying "Trent was a good citizen", blah blah blah, but when it comes to kiddie porn, they all need to go to jail.
What is sad is that this goofball owned a Dairy Queen... frequented by kids, etc. What has become of this world? It seems that every other day there is another story about kiddie porn and sexual predators, it makes me sick... time to bring back that TV show "To Catch a Predator". Kudos to the police forces who were able to catch this creep.
This man is GARBAGE! Isn't this what is said about people in the inner city? He is more so than children with no direction in their lives.

Congrats to Canfield Police for finally cracking down on a drug dealer in your "Mayberry" town! It sure took a long time for the police to catch onto this gay BeaverTown guy. Busy at DQ are you? No one is going to trust Trent now. Officier instead of stopping every teenager that forgets to turn on a blinker, maybe you should have been frequenting your local DQ for the real criminals. Combine drugs and money and be a magician who dishes out ice cream --and what do you get free child porn --it's magic at Dairy Queen!
