VIENNA — Township residents, particularly those who live near the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, are advised to prepare for large crowds and plenty of traffic when the Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, puts on its show Aug. 8 and 9.
Demand for tickets for the Youngstown Air Reserve Station Air Show and Open House, dubbed Thunder Over the Valley, has been overwhelming. But more tickets will be made available.

For everyone interested in the "free tickets" please read the fine print. When you receive your tickets they are also assigning you a parking area. It tell you a bus will pick you up at the assigned area and will take you to the show. There is a $10 per person charge to take the bus. This was most unfortunate, my family was really looking forward to enjoying this event and would have been willing to pay to see it but their devious tactics have turned our tastes sour. Here are ten people not attending.
I heard on the news that the shuttles are free. If you read the full article it also says the shuttle from the fairgrounds is free.
"All Trumbull County Fairgound ticket holders…disregard the busing charges, it is now free to the public." This was posted on the Airshow website. The Airbase is picking up the tab for parking and busing.
