Kiwanis delegates attend convention

GIRARD — Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County was represented by delegates at the international convention June 24-28 in Nashville, Tenn. Serving as a voting delegate was Barbara Smith, president elect, who worked on the campaign of A. Alan Penn of Medina, who was elected internationl president for Sept. 30, 2011, through Oct. 1, 2012.

The club also named the winners of 2009 scholarships. They are Jennifer Kalasky of Jackson Milton High School, $1,000; Jacculyn Luther of Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, $1,000; Aimee Williamson and Amanda Colonna, both of Canfield High School, $500 each.

Potential members are invited to the 6 p.m. July 29 meeting at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.

The featured speaker will be Barbara Neill, manager at Lake Milton State Park. For additional information call (330) 502-1460.
