Sarah Palin will resign governor’s post July 26
WASILLA, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she will resign from office July 26.
Her spokesman wouldn’t say why Palin decided to step down, but the announcement stirred speculation that she would focus on a 2012 bid for the Republican nomination for president.

Seems to me like this has turned into more of a religious debate than a political one. If we stick to our Constitution we wouldn't have to worry abut these things. Obama bowed to the king because it is a cultural thing, not something religious. Same would be expected with the King of Saudi Arabia if he came to the US, to recognize and acept the culture. He should give Obama a high five, handshake or bump fists.

She won't run in 2012. Probably the best thing for her personally. Let her raise her family and if she wants to get back into politics, wait for another 10 years or so.

Obama will be a shoo in for 2012 . His supporters will be cold and impoverished in 2012 due to his energy policy and high taxes . They will still have hope as Barack will promise them all a government issued sleeping bag made from two mil thick polyethylene plastic with insulating air chambers . They will glow with warmth knowing that they are not spewing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere . The one room appartments will be heated by the body heat of many huddled together .
Conservatives need to just let BO do his thing. He will continue to screw up on a regular basis. Remember, this is the guy who picked Geithner who can't figure out Turbo Tax to run the treasury. To BO's credit though, he did expose three tax evaders. Oh that is right they were his appointees. I guess I am getting off the subject though.
And yes, we will have 8 years of BO since by then he will have pushed to give voting rights to the illegals. You Libs will be so proud.

You have to admit, she is an interesting and dynamic personality with a lot of national appeal. Sounds as though she has been offered an overwhelming opportunity somewhere that she just could not refuse. A government job cannot compete with private industry. I say run with it.

I don't think Sarah ever thought how ruthless national politics and the media were; they chewed her up and left her for "road-kill" when it was all over. She needs to get out of the limelight completely; write a few books, and retire on her profits in place where she feels comfortable; in Wasilla.

She never made a speech that wasn't a personal attack on Obama and he never said an unkind word about her. She never talked about the issues because she never knew what they were. hope....When were you put in charge of what anyone talks about? When you see a subject that doesn't interest you, move on to something that does. It's a free country and we can all talk about whatever we like. A lot of conservatives that post here like to put labels on anyone that disagrees with them. I notice that when people disagree with you they are labeled as haters. Even though I generally think along the same line you do everyone has a right to express their opinion.
Sarah Palin has more leadership ability in her little finger than Obama has ever had in his life. It was peoples stupidity that put this idiot in office and no legal proof that he is an american citizen and yet you people that voted for him who claim to want honest people in government vote in a Muslem socialist in. For all you "pro GOP'ers" let's keep in mind that it was YOUR guy in charge when this country crashed. Obama was left a mess and all I ask is give him a chance to correct the ship. Just like we did when Bush attacked Iraq. I supported him and gave him a chance. It's not the Dems fault he and his groupies lied to us about the connection between 9/11 and Iraq. If Obama doesn't get things fixed or back on the right track by the end of 2010, I'll start looking for a change.
Now back to the issue at hand. Palin quit!!! She quit her state, her followers and her supporters. She only had to do her job until 2010 when her time would be up and then still have 2 years to run. She needs to just go away and raise her family, including her teenage daughters and teach them right from wrong. Quitting was the wrong thing to do and if she runs the Dems need to destroy her for it and not be a bunch of whimps.

Hey Stan, We all know that you hate anything Democrat. But what can you really point to as something bad that BO and Biden have done? Has BO said that the Flintstones are historical? BO has far more education and experience than Palin. State senator for many years. (far more experience than Wasila mayor) Illinois Senator for a couple of years. (Sorry Stan but Senators are far higher up the political food chain than Governors and especially governor of a state with the population less than Columbus, Ohio)

She actually ran a state government. Now, compare that with the experience of a first term senator/community organizer, a senator from that huge state of Delaware or a senator from Arizona. She no doubt had more people reporting to her than all of the other three combined.
When you are done answering that, explain to me why when I post a video of some of the liberal worlds finest in action I have never once received a response from liberal land. I would imagine Biden had more gaffes since he's been in the public eye for much longer than soccer Mom. At least his gaffes haven't been to the extent of the Flintstones or her keeping an eye on Russia or not being able to name even one newspaper she reads even though she reads them all.

New climate policy.
Created a new stimulus package that saved millions of jobs in the auto industry and thousands in the valley, 25 million for valley schools, 9.3 million for valley transportation projects, 20 million for relocation of Norfok Southern Railroad to make way for 1 billion dollar V&M Star Steel expansion project, $250,000 for programs in the valley to provide food for seniors to name a few.
350 billion to keep financial institutions from collapse. 70 billion of which has already been paid back.
Ending the Iraq war.
Stepped up in Afganastan to go after the people that attacked us and got financial aid and man power from other countries to help.
Housing bill to help home owners.
Held multi country economic summit.
The beginning of health reform.
Reduced small business lending fees.
Working to overhaul financial market with needed regulations.
Programs for clean energy and fuel efficient cars.
Created a new post. Border Czar.
Signed a bill to cover 19 million children with health care.
Those are a few things Obama has done in 6 1/2 months. Now why don't you tell us all what Bush did in eight years. I'll even help you out, I'll spot you a few:
Tripled the national debt.
Waged a trillion dollar war on a country that did nothing to us and virtually ignored the people that attacked us.
Gave billions in no bid contracts to Halliburton who moved their headquarters from Huston to Dubai to avoid paying any taxes on the free money given to them by US taxpayers.
Ruined Americas good name and good will all over the world.
Tax cuts for the ultra rich.

Well the state of Alaska taxes the companies that do business in their state same as every other state. Those companies can leave if they want to. They also enjoy no state income tax or sales tax.

Stan the Man Unusual....The job loss being experienced is the result of the Bush economy. I gave examples of how the Obama stimulus package has saved jobs, Without it things would be much worse. I gave just a few examples of what Obama has done for the valley and they were worth more then 50 million dollars invested. How about you giving some examples of what Bush invested in the valley.

I am getting pretty fed up with all this partisanship.
It is apparent now that our country has settled into a 2 party country, which is not a part of the Constitution, but controls so much of our every day life that the country stagnates into ineffectiveness.
To break this cyle, we need to establish a viable third party. A party of intelligent people who can offer a contract to Americans that they will promise to uphold. A party that can motivate one of the other 2 parties to conform or lose out.
Our current partisanship clearly has shown our leaders lack the ablility to show positive results, because all we want to do is beat down the other guy. If you have a third party, you then have to compromise and work with someone in order to avoid the other party doing it first.
I'm not suggesting a Peoples Party, or a Communist Party or a Labor Party, but I hope you get the picture. We need to begin working together or the results could be what we would not like to see. A third party would give voters a fresh approach and may help break us out of this mess we are in.
