FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

WEDNESDAY

• Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 at 534 in Southington, will serve chicken dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals include a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. The cost is $7.50. Chicken tenders meals for children 4 through 10 will be $4. Those 3 and under eat free. For carryouts, call the church at (330) 898-2156 and the meal will be ready for you to pick up.

TAKING ORDERS

• Happy Hearts Junior Tamburitzans of Youngstown is taking orders for frozen homemade apple or cheese strudels (with instructions on how to bake them) through Sept. 1. They are $8 each. To order call Windi Kresic, (330) 980-9384, or Branka Ladd, (330) 758-5506.

• VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. July 9. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.
