Valleys residents witness history

Published: Tue, January 20, 2009 @ 9:33 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — When President Elect Barack Obama takes the oath of office today, Youngstown residents and The Vindicator will be there.

At midnight, Vindicator photographer William Lewis and reporter John Goodwin boarded one of the many buses leaving the Youngstown area filled with local residents hoping to witness President-Elect Obama's installation as the 44th president of the United States Tuesday afternoon.

Goodwin and Lewis will bring the shared experience of the Youngstown entourage — smiles, tears, cheers or jeers — via vindy.com and in the Vindicator.

News and updates will take place throughout the day.
