INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A solid second half was overshadowed by a cold-shooting first half for the Youngstown State women’s basketball team as it fell 84-50 in a Horizon League contest at Butler on Monday evening.

The Penguins shot 39.4 percent in the second half, but were outshot 51.4 percent to 20.7 percent in the first half as it trailed 42-14 at halftime.

The Penguins (2-11, 0-2) lost for the third straight game and second straight in league play, while the Bulldogs improved to 2-0 in league play and 7-6 on the year.
