YOUNGSTOWN — A clerk at Adult Toy & Gift on Market Street hit a panic button and used pepper spray on a robber who said he had a knife, police reports show. The man, who also robbed the store twice last month, came toward the register Sunday afternoon as the clerk continued to aim the pepper spray toward his face. He failed to open the register but did find $150 and took it, police said. He ran out the door to an older white station wagon. A copy of the store’s surveillance video was to be turned over to detectives.

"but did find $150 in a closet and took it"
can't make this stuff up
"The man, who also robbed the store twice last month"
Easy pickins! I see that there is no urgency in arresting him. I suggest the clerk gets a taser as the pepper spray seems to have no effect on him. Set the door up to auto lock at the flip of a switch and hold him for YPD. No Jay this wouldn't be cruel and unusual punishment. Your constituent is crying out for a place to spend the winter.

I cannot BELIEVE how many times this store has been robbed since I have moved to youngstown in 2002.
They should come up with some type of tar paper (floormat)that sticks to the would-be robber's feet, like they make for trapping mice. How funny would that be!!!!!
This is the third time the same guy has tried to rob the place? Of all places to rob multiple times, this genius robs an adult toy store. I wonder if he finally managed to run out with a blow up doll after his third attempt.
And LostPatrol -- I'm sure those floors in that place are plenty sticky without the tar paper.
