YOUNGSTOWN — An argument over a girl spilled onto the streets and shots were fired on the South Side just as a school bus was unloading late Thursday afternoon, police said The mother of the 22-year-old intended victim told police they were in the area of Avondale Avenue and Southern Boulevard when the gunfire erupted. A suspect started “spraying” the street with bullets, trying to hit her son, the mother said. Reports show his arm was grazed. The mother told police that her son has been involved in a dispute with a 25-year-old man over a girl and she figured they would eventually fight. She told police they don’t want to press charges.

Well, this all makes perfect sense...
This guy needs to be arrested for obstructing justice just like the other "victim" who wouldn't tell police sho shot him earlier this week. Don't hardworking people get tired of paying the hospital bills for these fools who think a gun solves all their problems. What if the shooter would have hit or killed one or more of the kids getting off the bus while he was trying to kill this guy. It's time to take back the streets and it's time for the prosecuter to bring these "obstructors of justice" before a judge. In both cases - the shooting victims are just as guilty as their shooters.
captainlinger, I think the correct phrase is "She had a body to kill for". But the whole thing wasn't worth discussing.
jay wonders why young men and women will not sign up for law enforcement in ytown. would jay go out into ytown streets for $28,000 per year?
Here we go again...........NO one will talk, NO one will press charges, children getting off the bus could of been shot. But thats not important, just as long as "no one, knows nuttin"
Kill em all...let God sort em out
What's really said is that the mother "figured they would eventually fight," and this seems okay or normal to fight with guns?
This actually all ties together with a couple recent articles on attracting new industry to the Youngstown area. Any company worth having is going to be smart enough to study a potential expansion area to get a idea of the mentality of the citizens in the area prior to making a commitment of resources. What is the impression that they get when they read time after time of crap like this. They may feel that even though it is probably not the M.O. of the majority it may be enough to send them somewhere else. Any of you want to move a manufacturing facility into the city of Youngstown?
captainlinger, I agree, now that I see your quote in print that it is correct! Some people may feel that we are insensitive by joking about this but after all, it is a joke what is happening.
