Melkanoe Bowman, 24, victim of Saturday shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — The man who died after being shot in the head late Saturday night at 946 Delaware Ave. has been identified as Melkanoe L. Bowman, 24, of Homewood Avenue. Across the street, a 6-year-old boy was shot in his left foot as he slept, reports show. The boy’s foster parents told police they heard 30 to 40 shots in front of their residence.The shootings happened around 10:45 p.m. After questioning by detectives, Ryan J. McGee, 22, of Superior Street was arrested on a charge of discharging a firearm into a habitation.
