Youngstown, OH – One day a year red takes over as the most fashionable color in the tri-county area to be seen in! That day is the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women “Wear Red Day.”
On Friday, Feb. 6, show your support of the Go Red For Women movement, a nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power women have to band together and wipe out heart disease, by wearing red! One in three women has cardiovascular disease, and every minute one woman dies as a result of this health threat.
Learn how to love your heart by preventing heart disease. More than 10,000 companies throughout the country participate in Wear Red Day, and many cities across the nation illuminate monuments, landmarks and major buildings in red to show their support in the fight against heart disease.
Thanks to the participation of millions of people across the country, the color red and the red dress have become linked with creating awareness of heart disease in women. Go Red For Women is channeling its energies and resources to challenge real women nationwide to discover their personal heart health risk by taking the online Go Red Heart CheckUp. Go Red provides tools and information women need to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Wear red on Friday, Feb.6, to help save the hearts of women who are loved by many. Visit www.GoRedForWomen.org to find out more about Wear Red Day and Go Red For Women or call the American Heart Association at 330-965-9230.
