RUSSELLVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say two people have died in a house fire in Brown County in rural southern Ohio.
Authorities say the homeowner and her son escaped the Monday night fire, but that a relative of the homeowner and a friend were found dead inside.
Russellville Police Chief Bill Collett said the house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, and they were unable to rescue the two victims from the back of the home.
Fire investigators and the coroner’s office were investigating today. The victims’ identities weren’t released immediately, and total damages to the home had not been determined.
